Students of Baba Farid College of Management and Technology represented the Institute in 'Business Standard Quiz Northern India Finals'

Academics curriculum may not be sufficient for boosting up the creativity and innovation among the students. Baba Farid College of Management and Technology (BFCMT), which has the prime objective of inculcating the professional and moral values, continuously encourages its students to participate in the academic activities which help in leveraging the level of knowledge. Any Curriculum/extra-curriculum activity- be it in the own campus or any other college located farther away, the students of BFCMT remain always ready to participate in the same. This can be witnessed from the recent participation of MBA semester students (Vivek Kaura and Sukhwinder Singh) in the 'Business Standard Quiz Northern Region Finals'for the best quizzer among the B-schools and corporate professionals of Northern India. The quiz was conducted by the Business Standard Quiz Book at Apeejay School of Management, New Delhi. The quiz was having three rounds namely the Elimination Round, Semi Final and the final round offering a grand prize of INR.25,000. There were 60 teams in total and the students of BFCMT made a tough tie with the other students and Corporate Teams.

Dr. Gurmeet Singh Dhaliwal- Chairman, (BFGI) congratulated the students for their success in the preliminary round and mentioned "Participation is more important than winning. The downs make one all set for winning the next battle. We consider the co-curricular activities as an integral part of the value chain and we have been continuously putting efforts to enhance the value by developing their overall personality. Nothing can teach the moral values and professionalism, team spirit and the ethics except the curriculum & extra-curriculum activities."
